This is the audio from the September 23, 2022 live social media broadcast of encouragement and prayer by Impact Prayer Ministry’s director, Tom Lemler.
“A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd.”
Luke 19:2-3 (NIV)
This week’s prayer emphasis will begin a series about being loved by Jesus so we can love like Jesus. We’ll begin with a look at Zacchaeus and pray about how to love the overlooked . . . even when the overlooked just might be you. Whether you feel overlooked because of your physical characteristics or the labels you wear, Jesus notices you and loves you. When we love like Jesus, we pay attention to those that the world overlooks.
“Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”
Luke 19:8 (NIV)
As you pray this week, ask God to help you know just how much you are noticed and loved by Him. Pray for the courage to realize when your own actions have caused others to overlook you. Pray for a life which reflects the actions that come from a repentant heart. Pray that you would love those who you have wronged and those who have wronged you.
