This week’s prayer emphasis will focus on the oft-dreaded subject of waiting.  While many can quote God’s promise that “they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”, it seems to only be thought of when we find ourselves forced to wait — such as often has been the case over the past year.  As you pray this week, spend time not just talking to God but also deliberately waiting for Him to answer through His Spirit and His Word.  Pray that you would learn to value the times when you must wait.  Pray that you would find yourself renewed in strength and spirit as you learn to be more deliberate in your waiting.  Pray for the wisdom to know when to wait and when to act, and for the courage to do the proper one at all times.
