Encouragement and Prayer: Restored at the Return of Jesus! (11/17/22)

This is the audio from the November 17, 2022 live social media broadcast of encouragement and prayer by Impact Prayer Ministry’s director, Tom Lemler.

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 5:10-11 (NIV)

This week we will focus our prayer emphasis on how God restores us and calls us to be involved in sharing the good news of that restoration with others.  It is comforting to know that regardless of how much of a lost cause I may look like to myself or to others, God still has the ability and desire to restore me to Himself.

“He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.”
Acts 3:21 (NIV)

As you pray this week, ask God to fill you with the hope of His glory as He continues His work of restoration in your life even through suffering.  Pray for a patient understanding that complete restoration will not take place until Jesus returns.  Pray that you would be involved in living the process of restoration until that time when Jesus returns.

“Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.'”
Jeremiah 15:19 (NIV)

As you pray this week, ask God to fill you with the hope of His glory as He continues His work of restoration in your life even through suffering.  Pray that you would always repent of any sin and wrongdoing that keeps you from serving God.  Pray that the restoration you receive would help others to know of God’s love for them.

This is the audio from the November 11, 2022 live social media broadcast of encouragement and prayer by Impact Prayer Ministry’s director, Tom Lemler.

“When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ‘If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.’”
John 8:7 (NIV)

This week we will focus our prayer emphasis on some things that God says about His mercy.  Mercy is one of those characteristics that we all tend to love when it is extended toward us yet find ourselves hesitant when it comes to extending it to others.  It is a struggle that requires great submission to the will of God as we pray that He would empower us to be merciful by the power of His Spirit.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
1 Peter 1:3 (NIV)

As we focus our prayer emphasis on God’s mercy this week, pray that you would both know God’s mercy in your life and express God’s mercy to others.  Pray that you would rejoice in the new birth you have through the mercy of God.  Pray that your life would be lived in such praise of God that others would know God’s mercy.
