This is the audio from the March 13, 2026 social media broadcast of encouragement and prayer by Impact Prayer Ministry’s director, Tom Lemler.

“Then he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all — he is the greatest.’”
Luke 9:48 (NIV)

This week’s prayer emphasis will be about learning from Jesus as to how we can walk the road to greatness.  It seems our human nature often strives to be the greatest yet we tend to pursue that by the ways of the world rather than through the instruction of Jesus.  As the disciples walked the road with Jesus, they argued about which one of them was the greatest.  It is in this context that Jesus teaches us that the key to greatness is wrapped up in our willingness to serve others.  When practiced within the body of Christ, no one gets left out because serving God’s way really is about one another — every one another.  Pray that you would desire greatness in all things, but only in the way Jesus defines greatness.  Pray that your relationship with Jesus would equip you to do greater things as you serve people in His name.  Pray that you would not be one that settles for lesser things when God wants to amply supply you with greater things.

“We accept man’s testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.”
1 John 5:9 (NIV)

As you pray this week, ask God to help you walk His way on this road to greatness.  Pray that you would view the testimony of God to be greater than the testimony of man.  Pray that you would listen for truthful testimony and find that its source is from God.  Pray that your life would be about sharing the greater testimony of God’s work in you.
