Some thoughts, lessons, and/or reflections from the day:
- I was awake far enough ahead of my alarm going off this morning that I was actually able to go back to sleep . . . and then took the longest time figuring out what the annoying buzzing sound was in my dream. 🙂
- With no fresh snow overnight, I had to scrape frost off my truck windows this morning.
- A foggy morning and a temperature below freezing made for some icy spots on the roads this morning.
- Not all dangerous situations are obvious, but the circumstances which create them often are.
- God desires that we seek, and use, wisdom that pays attention to the conditions which would bring danger into our life so that we’re not caught off guard.
- What we step in often follows us even in places we wish it didn’t. (Thought while cleaning ice melt residue off tile floors.)
- I ordered more books to share with camp leaders at several different conferences over the next few months.
- Trusting God to provide can be difficult, but not trusting Him to provide is even more difficult.
- I spent some time refining the Growing Strong spiritual growth teaching concept to make it more available to places that would want to host it.
- Just because my implementation of an idea God puts in my mind doesn’t work, it doesn’t mean the idea is bad — perhaps I simply need to listen more clearly and figure out how and when God wants the idea implemented.
- The morning fog and haze never really did clear up during the day. Even at mid-day, the sun trying to shine through the haze looked more like the moon than the sun.
- Today’s photo is of a woodpecker that I managed to catch a glimpse of. No matter how my day goes, at least I’m not banging my head against a tree looking for something to eat. 🙂

You made me smile with your last observation concerning the woodpecker! I think too many people do just that (figuratively)…
I’m glad I was able to make you smile. Yes, there are times when I do feel like I go through life banging my head against a tree . . . this was a reminder that that’s not God’s plan for my life or He would have better equipped me to do so. 😉 😀
